I got this as a freebie with my rack purchase. Basically, it weighs about as much as a brick and is just as useful. Seriously, it is well made and seems fairly sturdy, but is just too heavy to consider adding it to my touring bike. A little more thought to the design, and it could have been made much lighter.

Works well, althought would be nice if kit added 1.5" bolts or something a little longer that can be cut, so kickstand can be installed easily for bikes with large diameter tubes. Need to order another one for the second bike now.

I purchased the Wandertec small trailer and this kickstand was sold as an accessory to my trailer. It will not mount anywhere on the trailer

The kickstand worked great on hard surfaces and soft ground. I used my kickstand to hold the bike and BOB while my friend who did not have a kickstand leaned his bike and BOB against my bike. The kickstand held two bikes and BOBs fully loaded for a week of camping. The only problem I noticed is that the kickstand wore through the rubber foot after 6 days of heavy use. A replacement foot for the Greenfield Stabilizer Kickstand is sold, but not on this web site. I recommend carrying a spare rubber foot for about $2.00 each.

Just installed the Greenfield Stabilizer Kickstand - was also confused on the installation because didn't seem to make sense. Went to the Greenfield website - kickstand is OEM add-on for any bike, not specific to the BOB. So won't fit as intended (with "wing" facing BOB) because the angle isn't right and screw holes are covered. Pictures show it backwards (with wing facing bike) as solution to make it fit. I installed it as intended next to the rear wheel hub on my bike, works great although I haven't tested it with the BOB fully loaded yet. Don't anticipate problem. Only downside is I have a random kickstand by my rear wheel when I don't have the BOB attached, but I can live with that. Seems you can install it either way (on bike as intended or on BOB backwards) and will work okay. Am super happy to learn about the kickstand (thank you BikeTrailerShop.com for making it so easy to explore options when ordering!) because I used my boyfriend's BOB for almost a year before getting my own and still have trouble balancing the whole rig. I think it's a great option and will be very handy for me.

Ditto on non-existence of instructions, but looking at picture and scaling from that is good enough. Picked up 30 pounds of bird seed and wrestled it into the trailer. The Greenfield kept the bike upright and solid enough through the endeavor. Simply put, it works.

**** “Nice for BOB parking—Recommended!” Anyone that tows a BOB trailer knows that parking can be a challenge. You either have lean your rig against a wall, bench, or guard-rail, (which obviously aren’t always available) or turn your bike & BOB at a 90 degree angle toward each other (which is tricky & can put stress on the trailer’s dropouts.) Refer to the photo for mounting, as the bracket faces backwards (as opposed to mounting on the bike frame.) The kit included rubber o-rings to protect the BOB fork. As using any kickstand, you still have to be careful about ground levelness and front wheel angle, as no stand is 100% rock solid stable. (My bike & BOB fell once or twice while using it—damn you, gravity!) However, this kickstand is good for temporary pit-stops on tour. Recommended!

I also give the Greenfield KickStand five stars. However I disagree with Williams advice to follow the picture, which I believe to be partially backwards. Both the kickstand (when up) and the top of the bracket should point to the rear. If you mount the unit so that the manufacturers name (on each of the three basic parts) will show after installation, the screw heads are on the outside after installation, and the tapered mating of the two larger parts matches correctly you will get it right. Perhaps the manufacturer has changed the design on the new Kick Stands?

The Greenfield kickstand makes BOBing so much easier. If you order, print out the picture to help with installation. The hardware mounts backwards from what it would on a bike's rear triangle, but there's very little guidance provided no matter what type of installation you anticipate.
